R.T. Hinkel Electrical is built on a simple idea: electrical work is something you should be able to trust without having to understand every detail of it yourself. You shouldn’t need to know the difference between a 100-amp and 200-amp service to feel confident that the person in your home did it right.

So we work the way we’d want someone working in our own house. We show up when we say we will. We explain what we found and what it’ll take to fix it, in plain language, before we start. We pull the right permits, follow code, label the panel, and clean up before we leave.

Residential and light commercial

Most of what we do is residential — panel upgrades, troubleshooting, lighting, added circuits, EV chargers, and smart-home work. We also take on light-commercial jobs for offices, retail spaces, and small buildings, including the network cabling and low-voltage side that a lot of electricians hand off to someone else.

Why the extra certifications matter

Modern homes aren’t just outlets and switches anymore — they’re networks, automation, and connected devices. Being CompTIA A+ certified means the same crew that wires your power also understands the IT and low-voltage side, so it’s planned together instead of patched together. And OSHA certification is about doing the work safely, on every job, every day.
